2. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to the use of the Companionfy AI-Companion application ("App").

The App is available worldwide and is intended exclusively for individuals aged 18 years or older.

3. Personal Data We Collect

3.1 During Registration

The following data is required:

  • Email address
  • Username / Nickname
  • Date of birth
  • Gender

There is no real-name requirement.

Social login (e.g., Google or Apple) may be used. In such cases, we receive the data provided by the respective authentication provider (such as email address).

4. AI Interaction and App Usage

  • Chat conversations are currently not permanently stored.
  • Voice data is processed solely for technical purposes and is not stored.
  • No behavioral profiling is conducted.
  • No sexual preferences are collected or stored.
  • The in-app level system stores only progress-related data.

If chat storage is implemented in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly.

5. Payment Processing

Payments and subscriptions are processed via:

  • Stripe

Companionfy does not store full credit card details.

Stripe processes payment information independently in accordance with its own privacy policy.

We offer monthly and annual subscriptions. Subscriptions may be canceled at any time and remain active until the end of the current billing period.

6. Hosting and Technical Infrastructure

We use the following service providers:

  • Vercel - Hosting and deployment of the web application
  • Supabase - Database and backend infrastructure
  • GitHub - Code hosting and version control

Server locations may be outside Switzerland. Where data is transferred internationally, we ensure appropriate safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses) in compliance with GDPR and Swiss data protection law.

7. Analytics

We use:

  • Google Analytics

Google Analytics collects pseudonymized usage data (such as IP address, device information, and usage behavior) to improve our services.

We do not use personalized advertising.

8. Security Measures

We implement appropriate technical and organizational safeguards, including:

  • HTTPS encryption
  • Restricted internal access to data
  • Email verification during account creation

9. Data Retention

Personal data is stored only as long as necessary for contractual purposes or legal obligations.

Account-related data is deleted upon user request, unless statutory retention requirements apply.

10. International Data Transfers

As Companionfy is available worldwide, data may be processed outside Switzerland or the European Union.

Where this occurs, appropriate safeguards are implemented to ensure compliance with applicable data protection laws.

11. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
